1.1 Selecting your Vacation Package
You will see that a broad range of packages and travel services are offered by Salco Travel. Each package is designed to cater for a certain set of preferences and expectations; it is therefore important that you choose the right holiday for you. Please make sure that you have read the detailed itinerary for your chosen package to see whether the listed activities and sightseeing is appealing to your interests. If you have any questions or would like to know which package would best be suited for you, send us an email and our staff will gladly give you their professional opinion.

1.2 Hotel Grading
Whilst contracted hotels have official star ratings, in some cases you may find that discrepancies exist between local and international rating standards. Feel free to check their websites for a better idea of what to expect in each venue.

1.3 Child Policy
Salco Travel is glad to offer a flexible child policy on adults traveling with children on holiday. Infants under the age of 2 will be able to accompany their parents, free-of-charge for the entirety of the program (provided they share the room with their parents). Children over 2 and under 12 years of age will be charged 50% of the adult rate (provided they share the room with their parents). Ask our staff for more information on child arrangements for your trip.

1.4 Meals
Meal plans are incorporated in the package price and are stated in the 'included' section of each package. Meal plans will vary between BB (breakfast only), HB (breakfast and dinner) and FB (breakfast, lunch and dinner). All Inclusive packages are also available upon request. Where breakfast is included, this will more commonly be continental breakfast, although full breakfasts are provided at certain hotels. Please ask at the time of booking if this is important to you.

1.5 Website Accuracy
We rigorously check the information provided on our website about accommodation, resorts, Nile Cruises and itineraries to ensure that it is up to date. In some cases however, hoteliers, restaurateurs, cruise operators etc., may wish to maintain or improve their facilities without prior notice. Moreover, maps and photographs are included in the website for general information and may not necessarily reflect actual routings, locations or services.

1.6 Travel Insurance
This is a vital part of any holiday. We strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance prior to arrival in Egypt.

1.7 Special Requests
Where special requests e.g. extensions, diet, room location, twin or double bedded room, a particular facility at a hotel, are an important factor in the choice of holiday, you must advise us when the booking is made. We are happy to pass your request on to our travel partners but cannot guarantee that it will be accommodated.

1.8 Weather
World weather is becoming more erratic and unpredictable and we cannot be held responsible for disruption to your holiday due to bad or unusual weather conditions.

1.9 Public Holidays
There are several main holidays in Egypt that may introduce some alterations to your program. Some religious holidays such as Ramadan may result in a reduction of facilities and entertainment. An overview of Egyptian public holidays may be accessed here.

2.1 Pricing Policy
Salco Travel offers you the flexibility to both fine-tune and completely create your own holiday from the range of set packages and customizable packages available. Because of the wide choice, it is not possible to list every price. A 'Starting From' price is indicative of the lowest price available for the hotel or itinerary featured but this may vary depending on a number of factors such as your date of travel and choice of accommodation. We will be happy to provide you with an up-to-date quote once you fill in and submit the Package Request Form or Vacation Builder for the program of your choice.

2.2 Price Guarantee
Package prices can go up or down. After filling out a request form we will be able to provide you with an up to date price of your chosen holiday, including the cost of any peak season supplements, upgrades or additional facilities which you have requested. Once you have accepted this price and a payment link has been sent to you, that price is fully guaranteed and will not be subject to any surcharges.

2.3 Advertised Rate Entailment
Please check out each program's detailed itinerary to see what you will be paying for. Generally, advertised rates entail the following: services of Salco Travel representatives (tour leader/guides and drivers); accommodation and sightseeing as specified in the itinerary; meal plans as shown in the itinerary; government taxes and compulsory service charges; and all itinerary transfers as mentioned, including transfers to and from airport. The rates generally exclude: visa fees; tips and personal expenses; travel insurance; airfare to and from Egypt; and optional excursions or activities booked during your holiday.

2.4 Payment Details
(a) After your booking is finalized following email correspondences between you and a Salco Travel reservation agent, a payment link shall be sent to you via email detailing the total cost due and payment procedures.
(b) Kindly note that full payment is necessary to confirm your booking.
(c) A confirmation email will be sent to you following payment; we kindly ask you to print a copy and bring it with you on your trip.
(d) Salco Travel reserves the right to inspect your credit card upon arrival to Egypt to ensure that the card matches the one used to book the trip.

2.5 Amending your Holiday
If you want to change any part of your holiday arrangements after the invoice has been issued, we will do our best to make the change, but it may not be possible. Any request for changes must be made via email. If it is possible to make the change, an administration charge could be applied.

2.6 Cancellation Policy
If you decide to cancel the holiday you must notify us of the decision as soon as possible via email. Cancellation will take effect from the day we are notified.
The following scale outlines the amount payable upon cancellation, depending on when the notification of cancellation is received.

Prior to 61 days: 10% of total vacation cost
60 – 42: 30% of total vacation cost
41 – 28: 60% of total vacation cost
27 – 14: 90% of total vacation cost
Less than 14 days: 100% of total holiday cost
We would strongly recommend that you take out full insurance, which will in most cases include cover, under certain circumstances, against loss of deposit or cancellation fees.

3.1 Tour Scheduling and Details
Whilst every effort is made to operate a tour as advertised, on occasion it may be necessary to make changes to the accommodation, the routing or order of an itinerary. Unless the change significantly alters your vacation experience, compensation will not be payable for minor alterations to the itinerary or nightly accommodation.

3.2 Changes Due To Circumstances Beyond Our Control
We will not be liable to pay any compensation if we are forced to cancel or in any way change your holiday as a result of unusual or unforeseeable situations outside our control, the consequences of which could not have been avoided even with all due care. These include unavoidable technical problems with transport, changes imposed by rescheduling or cancellation of flights by an airline, war or threat of war, civil strife, industrial disputes, natural disaster, bad weather, epidemic or terrorist activity.

3.3 Other Hotel Guests
Many hotels, especially in cities and major resorts, accommodate conventions and conferences. Also, at certain times of the year, some destinations have an influx of groups such as students, associations or clubs. The hotels we feature are shared with guests from many countries with different cultures and customs. We have no control over the acceptance of bookings at the hotels we feature other than our own. We are therefore unable to accept any responsibility for any inconvenience caused by such groups or their activities.

3.4 If You Have A Complaint While You Are On Holiday
If you have cause for complaint whilst on holiday, you must bring it to the attention of your Salco Travel representative and the hotel immediately. They will do their best to rectify the situation. It is unreasonable to take no action whilst on holiday, but then to write a letter of complaint upon return. If you do not raise concerns immediately, this may affect our ability to investigate and take remedial action and it may impact on the way your complaint is dealt with.

3.5 Curtailment
If you cut short your holiday and return home early in circumstances where you have no reasonable cause for complaint about the standard of accommodation and services provided, we will not offer you any refund for the remainder of your holiday not completed, or assist with any associated costs you may incur. Depending on the circumstances, your travel insurance may offer cover for curtailment and we suggest that any claim is made directly with them.

3.6 Conservation
For travelers, tourism provides the possibility of exchanging ideas and meeting new cultures; for the locals, tourism has been and continues being a major contributor to the livelihoods of so many Egyptians. At the same time, we here at Salco Travel, recognize the possible risks of unsustainable tourism on our surrounding environment and therefore kindly ask our clients to help us promote conservation and responsible tourism.

4.1 Questionnaire
Our aim at Salco Travel is to show our clients a great time in Egypt, providing them with an unforgettable experience and value for their money. We have thus adopted a customer-satisfaction approach to our operations and are continually striving to improve the standard of our services. Only with the help of your feedback will we be able to achieve our aim.

4.2 If You Had A Problem
If a problem remains unresolved during your holiday, you should make a complaint via email to Salco within 14 days of the completion of the holiday. Please remember to provide us with your full name, package name and date, and daytime telephone number.

4.3 Photography Rights and Testimonials
Kindly be informed that our authorized tour leaders and representatives may take photographs and films of our clients whilst on any of our tours. Salco Travel reserves the right to use such material for any advertising or brochure production without obtaining further consent. Salco Travel also reserves the right to use any comments clients make regarding the tours on any questionnaires or letters in future promotional literature.

4.4 Data Protection and Privacy
(a) In order to process your booking and to ensure that your travel arrangements run smoothly and meet your requirements we need to use the information you provide such as name, address, any special needs/dietary requirements, etc. We will ensure that proper security measures are in place to protect the information relating to you. We must pass the information on to the relevant suppliers of your travel arrangements such as Third Party Contractors, airlines, hotels, cruise operators etc. The information may also be provided to security or credit checking companies, public authorities such as customs/immigration if required by them, or as required by law. We will not, however, pass on any information to any person not responsible for your travel arrangements.
(b) We may use information provided by you, including contact details, to update you on the latest packages, promotions, special deals, etc, that Salco Travel may offer from time to time. If you do not wish to receive such information you should make this known at the time of booking.
